alright, so im sick (actually sick) so i called in and heres basically how the convo went

me: hey chris, im feelin pretty sick and i was wonderin if i could take this weekend off
chris: i dunno buddy i think we might need you in
me: well i can work today if you cant get someone to cover my shift
chris: so you're sick
me: .....yes......
chris: then how can you work today and not tomorrow
me: well i can work today because im calling on really short notice and its only a 4 hour shift for me today, its just saturday that i want off
chris: id rather have you work tomorrow rather than today, maybe just work a short shift tomorrow, is that alright?
me: uh...i guess
